RESEARCH INTERESTS
MRI allows non-invasive diagnosis of abnormal structure in brain. DTI is a relative new technique to examine the diffusion activity within brain especially in the nerve fiber pathway. Fiber tracking, an extension of DTI, can be used to show the abnormal pathway in the vicinity of the lesion which is the target for the neurosurgery. By correlating the findings from these two techniques with the structure MRI findings, surgery can be performed with more confidence and higher accuracy.
