As another year draws to a close

The Hanks are in their typical repose

Counting dough, monitoring sales

Carting royalties to the bank in pails

At times like these we can't help think

Of the people with less to eat and drink,

Whose slipping sales would make us wince:

Snoop Doggy Dogg, the Junkies and Prince

We offer to them, and others afflicted

Whose royalty cheques sank more than predicted

To cover a Hen-tune (if it's within your reach)

Try Rash, Die Fieldmouse or Muscle Beach!

 

Then, when the quarterly is back in gear

Turn your attention away from the mirror

Remember the generosity that some of us preach -
