UWO Awards

Our students are often recognized here at UWO for their outstanding achievements. Here are some of our awardees:


Congratulations to Ting (Jessie) Guo for winning the prize for best graduate student talk, entitled "3D visualization and Navigation System for Stereotactic Functional Neurosurgery Planning and Guidance", at the LHSC Radiology Residents research day


Melanie Davidson a PhD Candidate in the Imaging Research Laboratories at the Robarts Research Institute, won the best poster award in the Biophysics / Biomedical Engineering category at the Margaret P. Moffat Graduate Research Day on May 10, 2005. Her poster was entitled "Kidney stone composition analysis by x-ray coherent scatter: new insights for therapy?"


Congratulations to Melanie Davidson - 1st place (Sciences) at the 2005 Western Research Forum for her oral presentation entitled "Kidney stone analysis by x-ray coherent scatter: new insights for therapy?"

 


Congratulations to Hanna Phan and Andreu Costa for their awards at the 2004 Western Research Forum!

Hanna was awarded 1st place in the poster presentation competition for her poster entitled "Development of Three-Dimensional Model for the Normal Mitral Valve"

Andreu won 2nd place for his oral presentation in the Bio / Physical science division entitled "Rapid correction of three-dimensional subject motion in magnetic resonance imaging"


Mahdieh Khoshniat , a ME.Sc. Candidate in the Imaging Research Laboratories at the Robarts Research Institute, won first place in the Masters Student category at the first Robarts Research Day on January 28, 2004 for her poster entitled "Real-time Virtual Doppler Ultrasound". Congratulations Mahdieh!


Kathleen Surry, a PhD Candidate in the Imaging Research Laboratories at the Robarts Research Institute, won the best poster award in Biomedical Engineering at the Margaret P. Moffat Graduate Research Day on May 14, 2003. Her poster entitled "Three-Dimensional Ultrasound and Stereotactic Mammography Guided Biopsy: A Dual Modality System" was co-authored by Greg Mills, Dr. Donal Downey and Dr. Aaron Fenster. Congratulations all!!
